Nowhere to go but up!

As many of you have seen or heard, the 2011-2012 Fiscal Year for Wabash College is underway as of July 1st, 2011. Before we get started on that here is a recap of the Class of 2005’s efforts for’10-’11:

Class of 2005’s 2010-2011 Annual Fund Giving:
Total # of Donors:            41 (19.8% of the class)
Total $$’s Donated:         $1,965 ($47.93 per donor)

Some quick statistics that stand out:

  • Of all the alumni classes over the past 57 years, only 4 had a fewer number of donors in ’10-‘11. HOWEVER, those 4 alumni classes – each with fewer donors than 41 - donated total $$’s of , $7,010 (’02), $17,922 (’95), $14,515 (’90), $91,695 (’75), and $1.12M (’55). Compare those to our $1,965
  • There have been 6 graduating classes since 2005 - all 6 of those younger classes have a higher number of donors and higher amounts of dollar per donor…
  • You have to go all the way back to the class of 1947 to find a lower amount of total giving by an alumni class – 3 men of ‘47 donated a total of $475. Compare that $158 per donor to our $47.93…

Whatever our collective reasoning may be our hope is to raise the Class of 2005 out of the alumni-giving-doldrums. You can do your part early on at https://www.wabash.edu/alumni/egift

As responsible Wabash men we are better than what is seemingly last place.

WAF,

Welcome to the blogosphere!

Welcome to the Wabash College Class of 2005 blog!

In an effort to increase fellowship and share updates about all of us we have decided to embark on a class blog to act as a centralized location for everyone to find updates on the Class of 2005, general Wabash substance and other all-purpose information we find relevant to share.

Our goal will be a few posts per month. New jobs, new family members, cross-country moves, Monon Bell tailgate plans, the latest Princeton Review ratings, upcoming Networking events, etc. Our hope is that you also engage – commenting on posts, correcting or elaborating our sources, offering congratulations or ridicule when and where applicable. Either way, with increased communications and feedback we can continue to cultivate further coverage of ’05.

We hope you will check back often and find this a good resource! Be sure to 'subscribe' at the top of the page so you can keep up to date with each new post.

Cheers,
Michael Ruffing and Nathan Dinger, ‘05
